MY NAME IS
Dr. Blaine Carr
and I’m glad you’re here. I’m a licensed psychologist in Austin, Texas, ready to help you – no matter what challenges you’re facing. My specialty is psychoanalytic psychotherapy – which is focused on understanding the underlying causes of difficulties and exploring and processing how those affected us in different ways throughout our lives, including the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that are part of our difficulties. As you gain that insight (and relief!), you are better equipped to make changes to your behavior and to make different choices.
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is very helpful with a lot of different issues, including perfectionism, anxiety, stress, challenges at work, or conflict with your spouse, kids, or parents.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, but no one needs to go through these storms alone. I help adults find healing, acceptance, understanding, and relief. I demystify psychological treatment for a variety of conditions and symptoms, offering psychotherapy and testing creating a place for growth, breakthroughs, and empowerment.
Whatever you’re dealing with, I offer a place to explore what’s bothering you and help you create a plan for getting things back on track.
