Psychotherapy

If you’re reading this right now, you may be dealing with challenges in your life you  feel no one can understand. You may have previously thought it would get better or tried to tough it out, but you’ve come to a crossroads.

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults (ages 18 years and over) to help you with difficulties you’re not sure how to solve, such as:

No matter what situation you’re in, no matter what emotions you are feeling – you deserve some relief, understanding, and a way forward.

Psychotherapy is one of the tools I use to address how you’ve been feeling and what is going on. The emotions you are feeling are real and don’t make you “crazy.” Know this: change IS possible and I AM COMMITTED to helping you get there.

In therapy, you will probably feel a good bit of relief at first. As we talk together, you’ll be listened to, be able to vent about things without judgment, and realize that therapy is something that can really help. As we explore the difficulties you are having, there may be some ups and downs along the way. It’s all part of the work. But as we work together, you may learn a coping strategy or have an insight about events from your past. The net result is feeling better and better than you did before.

The truth is, research shows that talk therapy, and especially psychodynamic psychotherapy, can make a big difference, lasting long after treatment has concluded.

I also offer a complementary, 15-minute consultation to answer your questions so that we can get to know each one another before your first appointment.
